Bye, bye Boise...

...and it's good that Boise State lost, lest they sneak into the BCS championship game with their usual pathetically weak schedule. I suppose sensible people would have put undefeated Auburn and Oregon as the top two anyhow but to think that any team who plays a schedule full of weak sisters even had a chance...

And does anyone think that they could play an SEC schedule, even the rather soft one that Auburn had this year (Miss. State, Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Alabama, plus non-conf Clemson)...and go undefeated?

Of course, Boise gets their chance early next year when they come to Atlanta to play the Dawgs, Sep 3rd. I give them credit for trying to play a big boy schedule.

What a game, I couldn't believe I stayed up until 2:00 am watching a college football game. I felt bad for the Boise State kicker, that has to be hard to deal with.

But I agree with you about these schools getting in. Gary Danielson said it best during the Auburn Alabama game - that game is why every single tie breaker, or advantage or consideration in the BCS should go to the major conferences and not the Boise States, because they don't have to maneuver through an SEC schedule.
