Are we supposed to add to this?

1. Power
2. Influence
3. Prestige

Oh wait... I tend to be addicted to the same things. Maybe the sin of the organization mirrors our sins?

Oops, I didn't mean to put this up. It was a seed thought.

But while we're at it, I take all of your points and add these:

Slogans

Acronyms

A steady, though decreasing stream of funds

Megapastors as denominational leaders

Megachurches as the only churches that really count.

Megachurch people as the only people worth putting on significant committees.

Males as the only gender capable of serving positions of leadership, even those that are non-senior pastor slots.

Celebrity Pastors/Preachers, when's the last time your heard of Rev. Nobody from FBC Middle of Nowhere (county seat) at a pastorS conference or on a comittee even at the state level?
