Great deals on commentaries and other books

This is a crass commercial blog, Occupy Wall Street protesters who are surfing the net on expensive laptops while being served free, gourmet meals at their protest sites should immediately go elsewhere.

I almost rescinded my retirement when I looked at how much stuff I had in my church office, mainly books, and looked at the available space at my home. My wife told me to work it out anyway, so I’m selling most of my library. And, yeah, I'd love to be in a position to give them all away to some young theolog...but I'm not in such a position.

What I will do is sell these cheaper than you can find them on Amazon. Pick a book and price it on AZ. I'll be lower, probalby for a better graded book, and will not charge $3.99 per book shipping. I'll charge actual costs for shipping, usually about $2.50 per book. For quantity I'll bargain with you on price and pay shipping also. If you buy several, I'll toss in a free book and give you a list of free ones from which to choose. I've got to free up some shelf space brethren.

I'll take your check, too, trusting my SBC colleagues to not bounce checks all over the southeast. And I have hundreds more books. Inquire if you have a particular interest.

New American Commentary, Old Testament. These all have clean dust jackets and look new. I confess to not spending much time in the OT so these are hardly used. If I had not written my name inside the cover of these, I'd sell them on Amazon as new books.

I'm downsizing my library...selling commentaries, etc.

I am downsizing my library and selling some books. Some are old friends I hate to part with; some are books that have hardly been touched. Most all are books your average pastor would find useful, mostly commentaries and reference works.

If you or anyone you know are interested in any of them, I would sell below Amazon's lowest price for the same condition used book.

I will not list all of them now but here are a few that I have:

Broadman's New American Commentary; I have about 30 volumes of these and have found them useful. They are all in virtually pristine condition, no marks inside, dust jacket intact and would grade 'very good' or higher. I could probably sell some of these as new books. I don't have the complete set and would sell individual, all, or several. I'll pay shipping for several or all of these.

A. T. Robertson's Word Pictures in the New Testament; full six volume hardcover set. Amazon has these for around $60 per set. I would sell for $50 and pay shipping. These have no DJ and some light underlining, solid binding, great shape.

I have a good many commentaries, some greek and hebrew reference works, assorted others. I'll get around to listing here in time. Contact me if you have an interest in certain areas.
